The movements of Belly Dance, also known as Oriental Dance, are both revitalizing and empowering. Our beginner and intermediate level Belly Dance classes not only give you a fun way to exercise, but draw you into an intimate relationship with your body that enhances your coordination, flexibility, and physical awareness. Belly Dance is great for any age, body type and experience level. Come to class dressed in comfortable pants or a loose skirt and a form-fitting shirt, tank top, or midriff. You are encouraged to wear a hip scarf, which will help emphasize hip movement. Classes consist of an appropriate warm-up, technical practice, simple choreography, and a cool-down/meditation period to quiet the body and mind.
